THE PLOT:
Ernest is a Taxi cab driver who loves Christmas allot and gets to repay the big guy Santa when he shows up in his cab on a
mission to find a replacement to the thrown of Santa, he has the perfect candidate. The star of a dying kids show, but his
slimy agent is out to get him to sign him up on a Christmas horror movie and with the help of Ernest and a young runaway to
save Christmas if temptation don't overwhelm her first.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
This is the story of Ernest saves Christmas and you may be already aware of this, but I do like this movie. It's a hidden
present worthy of watching, but it's not a perfect movie by any means. I don't buy the theory about Santa, about him passing
the magic down from person to person. But that's a minor complaint compared to the funny and touching story that is ERNEST
SAVES CHRISTMAS, 9 STARS.
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
The colorful world of Ernest gets turned red and green in this charming family feast for the eyes. I also don't think old
Saint Nick passes from one person to another but an immortal spell keeps him alive. But that's another story, but it's clever
and interesting. 9 STARS as well.
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ FUNNY AND TOUCHING (Everything you expect in a Christmas comedy.)
+ STORY (The story works for the most part.)
+ CHARACTERS (The characters are well written.)
+ EFFECTS (Effective effects.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- SANTA THEORY (That he passes his powers on as he gets older doesn't quiet work for me.)
...AND FINALLY...
- NOT FOR EVERYONE (If you don't celebrate Christmas you may not like this movie.)
